By mapping assets and rights of all kinds in the digital space, the token economy offers great potential for the German economy. As part of the study, more than 35 experts from academia, associations, companies and start-ups were consulted in a virtual workshop about their assessments of the potentials and obstacles of the token economy. The results of the workshop provide the basis for recommendations to strengthen the token economy in Germany, such as the enhanced implementation of educational offers to improve the understanding of the technology and existing legal uncertainties. The study is published as part of the Blockchain Expert Dialogue for the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Action.
